Chris said a sobering thought last night, that we’re already 20% of our time being here. A semester flies so quickly… Some days we spend just in our little house in our corner of London, but most days we venture out, if only for discovering wifi in another quiet cafe.
- in the V&A cafeteria, college friend Frances (Fox) Chowdhary also mesmerized by the scenery
- One display wall in the Victoria & Albert’s current exhibit on Pink Floyd
- a completely immersive environment. People who’d been original fans circa 1968 soaking it up.
- the Royal Observatory
- Straddling East and West across the Prime Meridian! Geeky geographer’s must-go-to site. Wanted to do a handstand. Chris talked me out of it.
- I discover so many cool places while I’m geocaching.
- Another cool hidden statue place, off the beaten track, on the geocaching trail.
- Cards and beer at our neighborhood pub. Cheap thrills.
- Mmmmm. Food.
- We happened to be taking a Thames ferry at the same time as The Great River Race, https://www.greatriverrace.co.uk/
- 22 miles of rowing! Wow!
- Some people really know how to do up their front garden. Ours is gravel. Oh well.
- Old and new architecture.
- Bankers’ blue suits. It’s a thing.
- Looking northward towards St Paul’s.
